Setha’s Seeds is a family run organic seed company in Hawke’s Bay. It was founded in 2013 by Roddy Branagan and Setha Davenport, who have spent more than a decade growing and sharing high quality heritage seeds in Aotearoa.

They specialise in open pollinated and non hybrid seeds including vegetables, herbs, flowers, garlic, onions, and more. All seeds are grown organically on their land in Hawke’s Bay. Each variety is carefully selected to ensure strong germination, reliable performance, and adaptation to local conditions.

Setha’s Seeds follows biodynamic and permaculture practices, with a deep focus on soil health, biodiversity, and natural systems. They run workshops and offer farm visits to support people learning about seed saving and ecological growing.

Their sliding scale pricing helps make seeds accessible to everyone while giving others the chance to support their kaupapa. Seeds are available online and through select retailers in compostable packaging.

Their vision is to grow food sovereignty, strengthen local ecosystems, and support the connection between people and seeds.
